1.            Purpose of the report and policy context

 

1.1         This report presents an update from health and care systems partners on the planning and performance of children & young people’s mental health services.

 

1.2         This report was requested by the HOSC Chair, reflecting the fact that young people’s mental health is one of the 5 Brighton & Hove priority areas in the Sussex Integrated Care Strategy, Improving Lives Together.

3.1         Mental Health care for children & young people involves a range of local health and care system partners including Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (SPFT), Sussex Integrated Care Board (ICB), and Brighton & Hove City Council Families, Children & Wellbeing directorate. More information on the planning and delivery of local services, jointly compiled by partners, is included as Appendix 1 to this report.
